Itchy Abbie

March 22, 2010

When Abbie has the itches, it’s usually because she’s eaten something that she’s allergic to or that she’s just outright dirty. Whenever we notice her chomping on her butt a little more than usual, a couple of things start to happen that our little girl doesn’t really like.

The first is no more treats. This is quite horrific, especially since Abbie doesn’t understand that treats are for special occasions. In Abbie’s mind, every time she’s around is a special occasion deserving of a treat. Although that’s debatable, to make sure there’s no allergies going on with these goodies, those unfortunately have to stop.

If that doesn’t solve her itchiness problems, well, then it’s bath time. And you know what Abbie hates the most? Yup, the time in the tub…which did relieve her itches, but it definitely came at a price.

Sorry Abbie, this is going to hurt me a lot more than it’s going to hurt you.

Love that first pic…she looked like a drowned rat and she ready to do some real damage to you. Hey does she do the butt scoot? We know when it’s time for the groomers when the boys start doing that.

Her butt etiquette is actually pretty good, so not much butt scooting, but every once in a while she’ll have a dingleberry hanging out which does require a little bit of impromptu rear end maneuvering with a napkin on my part.

Dingleberry, that is too funny, we just call them KLINGONS at Chez Faulwell cause we’re geeks and proud of it. And yes I’m the one chasing them with the napkin, you know who refused to. Wait till Sofia is born….I already designate the first diaper change to him.
