Vacation Abbie

Usually when planning for a vacation, the only places we consider are those that let us take our Abbie along with us. And for the past few years, we’ve been lucky enough to find many destination spots to bring our little girl to.

But we knew one day we’d find somewhere to go that isn’t either ready for the awesomeness Abbie has to offer, or is a little too far for our little girl to make the trip. Sadly, this year is one of those years.

For the next week her humans are jumping on a plane and heading over to Hawaii, begrudgingly without our favorite shih-tzu in tow. And despite how much the thought of Abbie rocking the coconut bra & grass skirt gives her Dad the chuckles, we’ll unfortunately have to leave her behind.

So, today we’re going to leave you with some pictures our last Abbie-filled vacation, where our little girl enjoyed her room with an ocean front view, ran around on the beach & pitched in a little lifeguard duty, pigged out to a bucket of steamed crabs, did a little wine tasting and hung out with her viking friends while spending time in a gigantic wooden clog. Just more proof that vacations just aren’t the same without our Abbie.

Lastly, just so you won’t be without your daily fix while we’re gone, this week will be our version of a “Best Of” episode, as I share with all of you some of my favorite Daily Abbies from the past (even though, really, there are simply to many too choose from and in some way, every single picture posted here has been a favorite of mine).
